Moving subscription to a new device
When you get a new iPhone or iPad, you can easily transfer your MotivateMe Premium subscription to your new device. Since subscriptions are tied to your Apple ID, not your physical device, the process is straightforward.
Automatic transfer with same Apple ID
- Set up your new iOS device and sign in with the same Apple ID that you used to purchase your MotivateMe subscription
- Download MotivateMe from the App Store on your new device
- Open the app and tap on the "Profile" tab
- Tap "Restore Purchases"
- Your premium features should be automatically restored
Using Family Sharing
If you're using Family Sharing and want to share your subscription with family members:
- Make sure Family Sharing is set up on your iOS devices
- Ensure that "Share Purchases" is enabled in your Family Sharing settings
- Have your family member download MotivateMe from the App Store
- They should tap "Restore Purchases" in the app's Profile section
- The premium features will be available if your subscription is eligible for Family Sharing
Note: MotivateMe Premium subscriptions purchased after June 2023 are eligible for Family Sharing. Earlier subscriptions may not support this feature.
Transferring to a different Apple ID
Unfortunately, Apple doesn't allow transferring subscriptions between different Apple IDs. If you're switching to a new Apple ID, you'll need to:
- Cancel your current subscription (it will remain active until the end of the billing period)
- Sign in with your new Apple ID on your device
- Download MotivateMe and purchase a new subscription
Subscription not appearing?
If you've followed these steps and your subscription isn't showing up on your new device:
- Verify you're signed in with the correct Apple ID
- Check if your subscription is still active in your Apple ID subscription settings
- Try force-closing the app and reopening it
- Restart your device and try again
